The Down River Oar Leash, Deluxe (pair) is a great insurance policy for your oars. They will help keep your oars safely connected to your boat if they happen to pop out of your oar locks or thole pins.  The Down River Oar Leash, Deluxe (pair) features strong metal side release buckles allowing your oars to quickly pop on and off your boat. The metal helps the buckle hold up to UV and rock damage, while the inner part is plastic so that it can break loose if an oar becomes entrapped. Our Oar Leashes have webbing loops on each end that can be girth hitched around the oar and frame or slipped on the oar shaft while the blade is removed. The webbing loops are much quieter on the oar shaft than metal O-rings, so you don't scare off the fish! The webbing has a 600-pound break strength which will hold up well.
