June 19-Utah Whitewater Evening Workshops and Social
Miss out on our Whitewater Market? Don't worry, we are bringing another fun event to our property. Come on in for an evening of lawn games, food trucks, AND FREE WORKSHOPS. Enjoy workshops like How to Size and Pick Oars and River Repair: Common Field Fixes OR compete in Z-Drag Olympics

July 12-Go Paddle Utah Demo Day
Looking to try out a new boat? We are hosting the largest demo event ever thrown in Utah. We are taking a HUGE fleet of rafts, kayaks, packrafts, and SUPs out onto the lake to give our customers and Go Paddle Utah members a chance to try out the boat of their dreams. List of demo crafts and additional details coming soon.

July 19-Sun's Out Guns Out Climbing Competition
Utah Whitewater Gear is sponsoring fun prizes for the Sun's Out Guns Out” climbing competition at the Millcreek Momentum. This is a unique climbing competition explicitly designed for “our citizens,” that is, climbers of all ages and abilities. We believe that climbing is for EVERYONE! From the weekend warrior to the world-class athlete, this competition is truly for everyone. In addition to the superb climbing, they’ll feature local artisans, food vendors, and live music throughout the event..
August 8-Movie Night at the Shop
Movie night at the raft shop? Say less. We’re blowing up AIRE couches and rafts for the coziest outdoor movie setup ever! Grab a blanket, bring your river crew, and kick back for a night of films, fun, and whitewater stoke.

October 18-Repair Workshop
Go Paddle Utah is bringing its most valuable workshop to our location this October. This is a members-only gear repair workshop where Clinton will teach GPU members how to tackle their repair issues. Everything from patching a raft; to replacing a drysuit gasket; to welding a kayak. You don't want to miss this workshop.

January 16, 2025-GPU Permit Party
Paddle on over to Woodbine Food Hall to join us for a river-lovin' permit event. Enjoy dinner, raffles, river trivia and more while learning how to boost your chances at a river permit this year!

February 22, 2025-Basic Water Safety Workshop
We are hosting Go Paddle Utah for their first free paddling workshop. They are bringing in the ever-talented Matt Haberman from University of Utah's Remote Rescue Program. Whether you're a beginner or just need a refresher, this workshop is perfect. Plus, all attendees will go home with a prusik for their rescue kits!

March 22, 2025-Gear Prep Workshop
Hosting another free workshop put on by Go Paddle Utah. They are going to set up gear rafts, kayaks, packrafts, and SUPs to show participants how to best prep their gear for the upcoming paddling season. Get ready to meet with experts for gear recommendations and win a chance for a free craft rental from UWG!
April 17, 2025-Paddling Film Festival
Join us at a World Tour theatre screening in Salt Lake City, UT, where Utah Whitewater Gear has curated the film selection specifically for our whitewater community. This year, we are hosting it at Brewvies Cinema Pub, a 21+ venue, so leave the kids at home and enjoy a night with us as we get stoked for the upcoming rafting season! We are anticipating selling out, so grab those tickets early!

May 2-Gear Swap Evaluation Day
Looking to sell your gear at our gear swap on May 3? We will be accepting rafts, kayaks, canoes and more on May 2nd! Get a free raffle ticket for entering approved gear into the swap! Please make sure to check the link above to verify that we are picking up what you're putting down.

May 30-Provo River Race
UWG is sponsoring this year's Provo River Race. Compete in the slalom course or the boater cross or just come watch the chaos with us. If you come out, make sure to stop by our booth for good vibes and free stickers.
